I often get asked..."Could you just ask...." boy child to do this, or that, or something, or anything, and the answer to that is, no. There is no 'just' anything in this house - there are days of preparation, there are pecs, there are neverending questions, there are insummountable problems, but there are no 'just' anythings.
Today son is wearing his PE kit to school instead of his school uniform - bikeability, don't you know, makes it easier if he goes in ready prepared and he can change into his school uniform later. Makes.....it....easier.
Told him on Friday. Told him on Saturday. Pecs it on Saturday. Told him on Sunday. Laid out his PE kit on Sunday. Showed him his school uniform in his bag on Sunday.
Monday morning....
Son: Mummy, where's my school uniform?
Me; In your bag, remember you're wearing your PE kit this morning and getting changed later.
Son: I am?
Me: Yes, look at your pecs
Son: I don't remember anyone telling me this
Me: PE kit is laid out - go put it on
A suspiciously long time later
Me; Why have you got your pyjamas on under your PE kit?
Son: OH OH, I didn't see them there
Me: Pyjamas off and PE kit on please
A short while later
Me: Where are your school socks?
Son: Washing basket
Me: You haven't worn them to school yet
Son: Oh Oh
Ready to leave...
Son: Mummy, where are my school shoes?
and back to the top...

I think therefore I am ...... right
Son: Mrs B is cooler than Mr B and Mrs M combined..... and that is technically true.
Me: is it technically true or is it your opinion?
Son: It's my opinion, which makes it technically true
Me: is it technically true or is it your opinion?
Son: It's my opinion, which makes it technically true

It's a shoe in
On being told that he had put on the wrong shoes with his school uniform this morning...
'Darn it, why are there so many shoes? You just get used to wearing apair of shoes and then you have to change them'
